Overview

This is the best starting point for the person who has very little or no sailing experience. It will give you an excellent sailing foundation and a fun-filled three days! This course, also being the first three days of the Combo course, often runs concurrently with our Combo courses, so ideal for family and friends to experience together.

  • Duration: 3  days 
  • Required Experience: None or limited sailing.
  • Price: R 4 400.00 (with the option to pay a 50% deposit)

Course Curriculum

The Yacht Hand course introduces the beginner to sailing. Following the SA Sailing syllabus, you will learn all about sea terms, sails, rope work, fire precautions, safety at sea, man overboard techniques, distress signals, weather and collision regulation.
